Allow Your Imagination To Run Wild: If Time was a Bubble

It has been awhile since I have last written. The break was a waiting period for me to discover how to share the single greatest secret to success.
     Have you ever felt the weight of life become overwhelming? Have you ever reached a point of breaking and though you try so desperately to stay strong you simply feel yourself cracking?
     Welcome to the place life brings us. This is the reason one's outlook on WHY they are alive will shape how they handle adversity. We all know the quote "if a person's why is great enough they can achieve anything". The truth of the quote can be logically drawn out as follows-----> What you are trying to accomplish (fill in the blank)________ will at some point inside of time probably sooner rather than later be placed under the attacks of life and or the attacks of time. When the going gets rough (and it WILL) the very first thing a human being will ask themselves is as follows
              "Why do I desire the  (fill in the blank)________)"
Whatever you answer in the slot will determine if your WHY is big enough and therefore determine if you continue to pursue the task at hand.

     First quote to understand is  "One of the great truths of the Bible is that God is always working".  This concept if fully realized will make your Why unstoppable.
              

Crucial Theory From Quote

    We see glimpses of this truth as we go through life when we can look back and see that all though at the previous place or time we felt him furthest Jesus was actually closest.
Take that knowledge to your present situation reminding yourself that in your future situations you will look back on today seeing the revealing hand of God at work.
This pattern when realized enables one the strength via God's purpose to overcome our past, enjoy our present, and inherit the Kingdom in our future.
This is also a systematic way of thinking only possible with Jesus' death on the Cross.

  

    When you feel the adversity setting in remove your mind from the circumstances and reference the truth you know  which is Jesus is coming. I will certainly be with my Savior by 2100 AD.

Imagine if time is a bubble and when you die you are removed from the bubble into eternity.

This means if you are capable imagine YOURSELF after life re-looking inside the bubble and seeing the vivid images of God's hand working.

Then remember that the same God you will see working is working even when you can't see it.

You will see when you live this.

Finally the quote of the day now has a place. With the above concept in your mind read the following "The basic truth is God's will" ----> "not your will for God" .

The Greatness in The Simpleton: Small Town Southern Man

Donny Garner

     When I asked Donny for an interview, I would never have imagined obtaining such a golden quote. The background behind why I chose good ole D.g for the interview dates back years to the memory of our typical Tuesdays. During my time as a college baseball player, the Garner family welcomed players to their home every Tuesday night for a grill out.

     The Garners portrayed the picture perfect image of southern hospitality. The man of the house, Donny, raised two of the most outstanding children. Donny's son, Tyler, has the character of a true southern gentleman. The youngest of the family is Donny's daughter Bailey, a Junior in college successfully going through nursing school. 

     All of the players on the Chattanooga State baseball team always looked forward to Tuesday nights filled with stress free games and some of Donny's wife, Kathy's cooking. Kathy has always been one of the most kind hearted women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Those Tuesday nights, that may have seemed small at the time meant so much to our team; The memories we made will be cherished by all of us throughout life.

    The best part about those Tuesday nights was experiencing the Garners open their home to us in such a classy way. They never failed to treat each of the players as if we were all family. It is because of this southern home that I find hope for small town America today.

    So it is two years later and for those of you who have watched the YouTube video a lot has come to pass in my life. In my search to reveal the true meaning of life,  I wanted to dive into Donny's life to uncover all the benefits of this southern way of life.

The Insurance Man

        As Donny and I started our talks on how he had become the man he is today, he tells me Ben "What you do for a living will say a whole lot about who you are". Mr. Garner sells Insurance very successfully for Nationwide. I asked Donny what he believed his purpose in life to be? Donny replied, "I wake up everyday to take care of my family's way of life." Donny proceeded to tell me a little about his personality "Ben I have never been that millionaire risk taker. I have always been the play it safe kinda guy because insurance is protection for a lifestyle and I want to protect my families way of life" 

I could not help but smile because he was spot on. 

Donny is buying into the role he sells. Donny sells insurance, a very essential part of our society. Donny continued " I don't want one mistake to ruin someones life. That is why I sell insurance. I don't want one wreck to destroy your dreams". America needs more small town guys like this who go out everyday working hard for their family. America needs more role models who sell not just a product but sell themselves and qualities that every man needs. 

      As our friend Ravi Zacharias says, "If a person does not understand that the purpose of life defines lifestyle, then the lifestyle itself is hollow and the life is squandered."

       Donny shared a story with me of how he went through many life changing things in his past. He struggled every day to keep his head above water; Donny did not quit. I could not be more thankful that he persevered and was able to show me what a happy, simple southern home is. If he had gone and taken another job typical Tuesday's would never have happened and I would never have witnessed that true happy family. 

     THINK! 

   What are you doing today that you feel to be unimportant? Realize you do not have to be the President to positively impact lives around you. People are starved for good ole America to return.

Purpose is the key to greatness in the simpleton.

I Can Only Imagine: The Glimpse

        Here is our promise. Before God created mankind He knew He would have to become flesh and die on a cross in a very very painful fashion. He also still created us. Now if God does anything He does it for a reason.

       Whatever Paradise is like it's so so great that it was worth Jesus going thru what He went thru to get You and I there.

      It was worth nights by the toilet throwing up. It was worth all of the alone pain and suffering. It is worth the knowledge that not every human would choose Jesus and thus by creating creation all manor of everlasting suffering was created (aka hell) BUT yet God is good and He knows paradise is so so worth every hurt and every pain. If we just knew our promise:)

Does God Control Everything??

Okay, this video from Tim Keller is long but answers some major questions about God.
One of the big issues with God's existence is that if a God controls everything doesn't that make us robots?
No.
I would actually make the argument that if God does not exist we are just robots to our own DNA structure.
But I won't attempt to make this argument, I am going to leave this one in the hands of a far more qualified apologist Tim Keller. WATCH THE VIDEO!

Stephen Hawkins: For The Diginity of Science Please Follow The Laws of Science

              Okay I know how arrogant of me to think I can answer such a historical figure as Stephen Hawkins. Dear reader please refer back to my open-minded post because you need to be open-minded for this post.
             I give you my word reader that this weekends post will be lighthearted. We will take a break from the head spinning deep topics and investigate the greatness in the simpleton! I already have the perfect person to interview for the organically beautiful topic.

BUT For tonight lets go deep;)

             What is Science? Scientific observation is the core of scientific law or process. The skill of scientist is to make observation. Bam that's the key to science! 

             I do not believe need be to add sources to this statement due to the simple fact that no scientist would argue the statement---> But if you most challenge the statement just know;)-----> I will have many definitions at my finger tips to prove my claim;)

             

           Stephen Hawkins is quoted as saying

Dear reader what have we observed about black holes to scientifically claim such statements because all we know about black holes is that they are BLACK!!!

          No one has observed anything else on the topic and its not the only topic scientist will break their own rules that command them to be realest who believe only what they observe. Have we ever met anyone who has observed the beginning? The beginning being the starting point to this evolution process know as the Universe which has produced mankind (AKA it has produced you).

          For the love of science can we please follow its rules and stop grasping at straws to disprove an Author (God The Great I AM) being the only reasonable logical conclusion! It makes our society look desperately sad in our attempt to reason our way into being our own gods.

The Purpose Behind Unmasking Purpose

I am certian of my ultimate outcome because what has been done for me on the Cross. This is why I find peace in my clueless about the now.
It's all working towards Jesus my Saviors beautiful story.
The arrogant pride deeply rooted in the depth of my human nature is a fight I lose everyday on my own.
I need Jesus I get lost in me without him!
I fear my constant talk of Jesus may sound preachy and thus scare ppl off and have them dislike me.

Then I remember the greatest miracle and wonder Jesus ever performs is Salvation. The ppl Jesus reaches through my non social accepted ways will be God's greatest miracle which has also replayed daily since his victory on the cross as ppl
 "from every tribe tongue and nation" experience salvation.
Lest America forget the gospel Is the great miracle of the Blood On The Cross!!!

The Emptiness of Success Part One.

       So let's continue our series, Unmasking Purpose.
Today I am choosing to target what the world perceives as happiness. Success whether it be fame, wealth, popularity, or a successful love life are what the world perceives as the ultimate goal of life. Before I begin to disclose the flaws in this thinking, Let me give you a list of names I have studied extensively:

        All the above men, are men that in later posts I will dive into more depth to prove my theory.
But for now, Let me tell you about my story. Starting at the age of fifteen, I had the undying will to do something of significance. As a young adult, pursuing my dreams, I have found my obsession for this goal to be a driving force which has led me to a place not many 21 year olds can say they are. Throughout my childhood I struggled with many fights with my family. At the pinnacle of which, I left in a rage, never to return, tired of the constant assault.
     
        During this period, my landscaping company Sporting Turfs was growing at an astronomical rate. And my ambitious dream was leading me into Washington state. As I was packing ready to leave, I was offered a job from Viatek that after my salary and commission, it would have been a minimum of 55,000. (21 year old no college degree)

        The job I promptly declined, although grateful for the opportunity.


        I laughed to myself while packing my bags for Washington State. That just one week before I found myself in an assylum hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
My depression over the last few months had spiraled out of control and I knew I needed change. My reasoning and logic behind the move was although I did not know a single person west of Arkansas, I had done it before and I would grow Sporting Turfs again; but this time more successfully.

       Fast forward eight months, 63 clients, two trucks, and five part time employees. I start my talks with John Deere of Tennessee to move home. With $10,000 on the table from another business in Washington, I happily accept and sell my landscape business.

I had just sold a business I started from scratch at 20 years old for 10 grand with under eight months of work.

        I should be happy, right? After all, Im accomplishing my dream to be significant, Im on the right track. 

The road to happiness is paved with purpose. I look forward to seeing you, my dear reader in The Emptiness of Success Part Two.

Let the Journey Begin With an Open-mind

            To my dear Reader: Please understand this series builds on itself. If you join now without reading from the beginning you will miss the logic train. To understand this series the reader needs to be aware that I will pull statements from previous posts that will hold crucial information supporting my claims.

            Okay I understand I started a journey on Unmasking Purpose and you my dear reader are now wondering what gives me (Ben Rollins) the authority to write on this subject?
            How dare a 21 year old kid who has no college degree, and has never been the popular or likable guy say he knows the secret?
          Be forewarned I myself have suffered from depression. What would entice a person like myself to believe I can write on Purpose much less Unmask its secret?
           To answer that question  dear reader is precisely why you must read with an open-mind and discover with me if I am a lunatic or if Unmasking Purpose can be a secret given freely even to a 21 year old whose life from the outside looking in might seem like a train wreck.

     Purpose can only exist if a person believes they have meaning 
                                              because 

1.   purpose is meaning
2.  meaning is the why to the existence of life. 

Therefore where you place your purpose in life will ultimately determine

1. how you reason why you exist 
2. Why you have life 

Purpose is identity therefore if your identity gets taken so will your desire to live.

                                           Understanding What The Bible Is
       Boom I revealed my religious card.. Keep reading this point on the Bible is a crucial stepping stone to finding true purpose.
       If the Bible is the book of time and not a manual on how to live this life it changes everything.
As a book of time indicates the Bible essentially is a history of time. History of time means it is reporting time therefore the Bible is reportage.
Why is that significant?

       To understand why this changes everything you first have to see what the Bible is reporting. Next you must ask do I believe what the Bible is reporting?? just like you would when watching ABC news.

What does the bible report of time?

       It reveals the meaning of why time exists, it reveals why man needed Jesus, it reveals how all created beings are made for a purpose, and most significant is that the Bible reports Jesus is the son of God and that he is the point.

      The Bible is reporting Jesus if you miss this and read it as a manual on how to live a moral life you will fall into confusion when you read events in the Bible that are simply reporting the fall of man and thus think those vs are teaching you how to live when in all actuality the Bible as a history of time would only be reporting events to demonstrate the need man has for Jesus.
 
       Key points Reportage of time is not the same as a manual to live.
This means we must discover for ourselves if we believe what the Bible reports due to the fact that it reports the following in Philippians

"Christ Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death–even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:6-11)".

Am I Open-minded?

Before we get started investigating purpose, I have chosen to reveal the true definition of open-mindedness.

This is part 1 of a logical series which I believe will inspire the true meaning of life. If you
give me your time, each series will build on each other.

So let's get started!!

What is "open mindedness" vs "closed mindedness"? This will be logical and crucial to understand if you desire to be "open minded". Society believes to be open minded one must  accept all people.  A deeper way of saying it is to just accept anything different than yourself because we are all right in our own eyes. This means basically society is saying that there is no real right or wrong because everyone is right in their own way so accept everyone.

This is a false view of how to be open minded.

How?

Let the logic train begin:).

The mind is what we use to think. Therefore true open mindedness simply can't just accept anything at face value! That's not thinking therefore not minded. True open mindedness dives into deep thought on the evidence or facts provided. An open minded person after research and thinking will not just accept but reason why something should or shouldn't be correct. Being open minded requires an understanding of what you are open minded about, and to understand something you must first think to discover what it is you are accepting.

 The lie of society is that if you challenge or oppose anything you are not open minded but that in and of itself is not accepting a person who will not accept. This means by society's own definition it is a logical fallacy. The lie that we all must accept everything to be open minded has created a culture of backwards closed minded people who accept everything, and are thus closed minded due to the inability to think on why they are accepting. To be minded is to think, and to think is to question. Therefore to be an openly minded person is to be an open thinker. Another word for open here would be active. Therefore we can conclude that to be open minded is to actively think on the issues at hand. Society desires the opposite which is why the lie exist.
